We believe that Jesus loves His church and we love the local church. We affirm that
there are several good churches in San Clemente.So then, why another church? It is
our experience that there is a need for a church that is committed to Spreading the
Supremacy of God above all things; teaches sound doctrine, has solid,applicatory/prophetic/life
giving teaching of the scriptures and yet with a hunger for a deep experience of
God in worship, ministry,and the Holy Spirit.
We At Desiring God in San Clemente believe that as Christians indwelt by the Holy
Spirit and as bondservants to our Lord Christ Jesus, we must partake in the active
fulfillment of the mandate that Christ Jesus calls us to, commonly referred to as:
The Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20).
In the collective experience of those whom are pouring into the ministry of DGSC,
we seek to empower a body of believers that are passionate about pursuing the glory
of God and find fulfillment in living out a life in pursuit of Christ Jesus. As we
gather as a community of believers, we are compelled by the love of Christ to live
out authentic lives akin to the early church as recorded in the book of Acts in which
we seek to impact our immediate surrounding area of Orange County and Southern California.
At DGSC wish to offer something perhaps a bit unique in comparison to our dearly
beloved brothers. DGSC wishes to bring about the proper reverence, knowledge of and
importance concerning the proper understanding of God as He perfectly reveals Himself
in the inerrant, infallible, authoritative, living word of God in The Bible, along
with a sound theology and understanding of the ministry of the Holy Spirit today,
the Spiritual Gifts and the fruit of the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ.
